Ubiqus’ Jubilee Weekend

Ubiqus’ sound division was involved in three prestigious events over the Jubilee weekend in London. We provided:
>> A full PA system along the ceremonial route from Parliament to Buckingham Palace
>> AV equipment and technicians for the City of London livery companies’ lunch in Westminster Hall
>> AV equipment and technicians for the Diplomatic lunch, which took place in the gardens of Lancaster House

Ubiqus is well versed in the planning and operation of such high profile events: in spring 2011 we provided a full PA system along Whitehall and the Mall for the Royal Wedding, and annually we rig and operate PA systems for the Remembrance ceremonies at the Cenotaph.

We are very grateful to all of our partners who helped mark the event as another Royal success for Ubiqus!

Blair, Schröder and Wozniak

Ubiqus recently provided writing services for a major two day investor conference, attended by prestigious figures such as Tony Blair, Gerhard Schröder and Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple.

Armed with a team of five in house writers and one on site note taker, Ubiqus tackled tricky speakers and high end financial discussions to deliver final transcripts within an hour of each session closing – which the client then used to draft external and internal communications.

The project was an enormous success for us and our client, and proved again why Ubiqus is the service leader in this field.

EWC Season

Take Ubiqus with you

Ubiqus was exceptionally busy in the second quarter of 2012 providing interpretation services for our clients’ annual European Works Councils. EWCs provide a forum in which employees and business representatives openly debate company processes and decisions. Typical forums require:

• Putting together agendas, intranets, presentations, speaker lists, directions, menus, etc. – all of which will require translation
Arranging interpreters to ensure clear communication throughout the Works Council
Arranging language distribution and audio-visual equipment (including booths, microphones and screens for video/PPT presentations)
Transcripts or minutes of all meetings to ensure that discussions, agreed actions and resolutions are recorded accurately
Translations of the transcripts or minutes

Ubiqus sources skilled and experienced conference interpreters to provide simultaneous interpretation of proceedings. Additionally we are a member of the Bosch Congress Rental Network (CRN), meaning that we can source local, high spec interpretation equipment and technicians around the world. Lastly we manage the transcription, minute taking and subsequent translation of all documentation.

Large translation project?

Plan ahead

Ubiqus is currently managing a 40,000 word translation project, working across 11 languages. As ever quality, planning and communication have been at the heart of the process. Having agreed the terms of the contract early on, the project managers set to work selecting a core team of translators, matching them appropriately with the source content and building glossaries and dictionaries, all the while maintaining close communication with the client to ensure a timely delivery.

We can discuss your translation requirements.

Teleconference?

We can help

Many teleconferencing providers offer add-on transcription services, enabling participants to be more actively engaged in discussions and presentations. However, is a ‘technology’ provider really the best placed to produce accurate and high-quality written records?

Ubiqus writers regularly dial into our clients’ teleconferences to take notes and an audio recording, which are later use to construct a transcript, report or summary. With over two decades as the leaders in our field, clients are assured that they will receive an outstanding writing and transcription service.

Our writers have expert knowledge of fields such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, and finance and banking, so we can guarantee a bespoke document delivered to outstanding quality –whether it is required immediately after the event or a week later.

Do you need a transcript, report or minutes-style summary of your tele or video conference?

Whatever the event you organise, our badging solutions are an easy and efficient way to introduce delegates.

We can provide badges of any shape and size, in under a week if necessary.

It is always worth thinking about how delegates can easily interact with one another.
