Speech to Text (STT) / Palantypists: A solution for every setting

Whatever the size of your event, Ubiqus has a solution. We provide both the skilled reporters and the equipment - allowing you to focus on your meeting.

Individual STT Support

When one hearing-impaired individual requires the services of a palantypist or stenographer, we provide a reporter with a steno or palan keyboard and a laptop.

The Speech to Text reporter will provide a simultaneous visual display of the spoken word, enabling the hearing-impaired individual to follow the text of proceedings, displayed on the Speech to Text reporter's laptop screen, on an equal footing with their hearing colleagues.

Group STT Support

Our Speech to Text reporters can provide communication support for groups of hearing impaired individuals.

For larger meetings, Speech to Text can provide a monitor for each individual who requires support. Each hearing-impaired individual is then able to sit anywhere in the meeting room and still read the text. Each user is also able to have the visual setting most comfortable for them (such as large text or easy-to-view colours).

Conference STT Support

Speech to Text reporting also provides a subtitling service for larger events held by companies and public organisations.

As the conference progresses, the reporter produces a simultaneous visual display of the spoken word for hearing impaired delegates.

The text is projected onto a large screen so it can be read by anyone in the hall. We can also provide individual monitors to support delegates who require large print.
