Full Time Driver/Warehouse Assistant

HOURS: Working hours will vary. Standard day 8:30 – 5:30, but there will be days where early starts or late finishes will be required depending on that day’s event schedule.LOCATION: Isleworth TW7, Greater London Area

SALARY: £19,500 – £20,500 depending on experience

The role of Driver/Warehouse Assistant would be to assist and support the Logistics & Warehouse Manager, based in the Isleworth Warehouse, as well as the team of technicians. The technicians, both freelance and full time, support all AV and interpretation equipment needs for a range of live events. These events vary in size, duration and location, but the majority take place in London.

The main function of this position would be to drive the company vans to/from the warehouse and onsite events and support all technician staff, as well as support day to day operation of the warehouse.

Key responsibilities:

· Drive Company Vans to and from onsite events in the Greater London area and further afield

· Assist with loading and unloading of equipment

· Assist Warehouse Manager in all equipment preparation, testing and management as well as hiring of supplier equipment, vans, etc.

· Assist with equipment prep for dry hires and courier pick up as well as warehouse maintenance and operation

· Manual handling and lifting of equipment is required

Essential Skills:

· Must be located within 20 minutes driving from Isleworth Warehouse·

· Must have a valid UK driver license with at least 5 years of Driving Experience.

o No more than 3 penalty points on license

o Experience driving in the Greater London Area especially helpful

· Experience driving larger vans would be beneficial

· AV Equipment & Event experience would be beneficial

· Ability to handle heavy and large equipment (in line with manual handling operation legislation)

· Quick learner and willingness to learn new skills

· Excellent attention to detail;

· Able to take a proactive approach to problem solving;

· Ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks at one time;

· Show the ability to work efficiently while providing support in a team environment;

Translation Account Manager

HOURS: 40 hours per week (Office hours are 09:00 – 18:00)

Ubiqus’s primary service offering is to produce a written record of meetings and conferences. We are the 17th Language Service Provider worldwide and UK’s #1 interpretation equipment provider.

Your main responsibilities as a Language service manager at Ubiqus:

  • Manage a portfolio of Ubiqus active clients and work as a team with our production team.
  • Build a strong relationship with current accounts (through outbound phone calls) to generate business with new departments, ask for referral making contact with senior-level decision makers
  • You will also deal with any incoming enquiries and will be responsible for quoting
  • Working primarily over the phone, but also to meet and present to new and existing clients, face to face.
  • Using a range of techniques and tools (including targeted emailing and brochures) to introduce and promote solutions to current clients.

 

Training (sales techniques, company services) will be provided.

Your profile:

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sales as an Account manager in a Translation agency or as Project Manager handling clients in a translation company
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a results-driven mentality
  • Of graduate calibre, willing to learn and become passionate about the company’s products
  • An excellent communicator, with demonstrable ability to understand and explain complex ideas

Account Manager

Ubiqus’ language services are to produce written records of meetings, conferences and events, to translate content into a number of different languages and to provide interpretation for live events. The prospective candidate will be responsible for a large amount of interpretation business within their portfolio.

Your main responsibilities as Account Manager at Ubiqus:

  • To seek out and find new business within the portfolio through referrals, cross-selling, reactivating inactive clients, business development and targeted marketing.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients by being able to communicate and maintain relationships with senior-level decision makers
  • Working primarily over the phone, but with the aim to meet and present to new and existing clients, face to face
  • To cross-sell Ubiqus other services such as Transcription, Translation, Badging and Voting Systems
  • End-to-end job management from point of enquiry, to quoting, negotiation, approval, job management and invoicing.

Product knowledge, sales techniques and training will all be provided but the candidate must have a strong sales acumen along with a high level of commercial awareness.

Freelance Writers

Ubiqus sends note takers to attend meetings, we record the meeting and use freelance writers to transcribe the audio working from home. We have a test piece of audio which we will send to each person to complete, this will get sent to the editors and feedback will be given.

We use both transcriptionists and summary writers, so if you can quickly synthesise information into concise summaries we would be particularly interested in speaking with you.

Translators
Transcriptionists

We are currently looking to expand our roster of freelance contractors to perform the service of English Transcription. The work is part-time and can be tailored to your schedule.

Location:
Work at home.  All duties for this position are to be performed remotely via Internet.

Responsibilities:
Accepting audio of varying lengths and types, and producing a verbatim transcript.
Formatting final transcripts according to project specs; templates will be provided.
Time-stamping and other document notations as required by individual projects.
